Book Beginning
When managing partner Chet Carter called, you answered - and you answered promptly. Just yesterday Olivia Murray had been summoned to Chet's corner office and told to pack her bags for a new case that would take her from Washington, DC to the Windy Ridge suburb of Chicago.

Olivia sat down with the forensic expert, Blake Sanchez, on Wednesday morning. He'd worked all weekend to deliver his findings. But then he had taken two more days to write his report and get everything in order. Her heartbeat sped up as she waited for him to speak.
