About the Book
A FORMER NAVY SEAL HAUNTED BY HIS PASTColton Locke can’t forget the black op that went terribly wrong. Desperate for a new start, he moves to Lantern Beach, North Carolina, and forms Blackout, a private security firm. Despite his hero status, he can’t erase the mistakes he’s made.
A WIDOW WITH SECRETS
For the past year, Elise Oliver hasn’t been able to shake the feeling that there’s more to her husband’s death than she was told. When she finds a hidden box of his personal possessions, more questions—and suspicions—arise. The only person she trusts to help her is her husband’s best friend, Colton Locke.
THE FIGHT FOR JUSTICE
Someone wants Elise dead. Is it because she knows too much? Or is it to keep her from finding the truth? The Blackout team must uncover dark secrets hiding beneath seemingly still waters. But those very secrets might just tear the team apart.
Book Beginning
Elise Oliver jolted upright in her bed, imaginary critters scrambling over her skin. What was that sound? Was someone inside her house?
Friday 56
Colton remained low, watching his every step so as not to give away his location. But he knew the reality was that whoever was out there had already seen him. This person had probably been watching this whole place, just waiting for the sun to go down so he could make his next move.

What were some of the most memorable books you read as a child? What made them memorable?
I'd say probably the Alice in Bibleland books. My parents read them to me at bedtime and it was always something I looked forward to every day. Plus, those books were such a fun and creative way to learn about the Bible.
I got itchy reading the book beginning! Sounds like a good one to read with the ligths on! I hope that you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteIt was great! Thanks for stopping by, Lori! :)

DeleteI didn't read that much as a child and what I read, I read it for school so nothing is memorable for me.

DeleteI love this week's BBH question! Enid Blyton fantasy was my starter-for-ten ;-) although I did dip my toes into horror during my teen/adolescent years.
