My Thoughts
I was so excited when I first saw this book. I love Allie Pleiter's books and was so happy to see that she's started a new series. His Surprise Son was SO good!. I read it as quickly as I possibly could. From the first chapter, I was pulled into the characters lives, fully invested and rooting for them.
I loved the setting of Matrimony Valley. It's such a charming small town and a place I think I'd love to live. I thought it was a neat concept to try to turn the town into a popular wedding destination spot.
The characters were wonderful. There's a fair amount of pain and old hurts between Jean and Josh. They've got to overcome a lot, but they have great motivation to try and make things right – their son, Jonah. And what an amazing and adorable little guy he is!
His Surprise Son is a great start to a new series and another five star read from Pleiter. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves heartwarming contemporary romances. I can't wait for the next book!
