MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely adored this small town, faith-filled romance. What a great way to start this new series! I loved Maple Falls and all the cozy fall vibes. And I loved the townsfolk too. I very quickly became invested in the story and couldn’t read fast enough.

I really liked Livvie and Nate. I thought Livvie’s job at the publishing company as a junior agent was really interesting. She was very dedicated and determined about her work and what she believed in. I loved her sunshiney attitude. I really felt for Nate. He was still in the midst of grieving his sister and struggling to finish writing the series they had worked on together. I was really rooting for him. Nate and Livvie were both relatable in their own way. I thought they made such a good team. They pushed each other to do the next hard thing. It wasn’t easy, but it was so great seeing them grow and thrive again. I also really liked Livvie’s Aunt Lila. She was a no-nonsense lady who was also very supportive and full of wise words.

This story was poignant and sweet. Moving and heartfelt. There was a ton of depth and a powerful message of faith too. I loved it so much and highly, highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys small town contemporary romances! I can’t wait to visit Maple Falls again!

MY THOUGHTS

The Sisters Grimm is Merrie Destefano at her finest. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by her, but this is a new favorite. I know I’m going to want to read it again and again. The premise was great, and the world-building was stunning. So rich and immersive. There was such a grand feel to the whole story.

I loved Ivy and River so much. They were wonderful characters who were easy to root for. I loved that we got both of their POVs.

I enjoyed seeing the supportive and sisterly bond between Ivy and Sparrow. I thought the whole cast of characters was great. It was very interesting to see some of the classic fairytale characters in a new way.

I didn't want this book to end. I didn’t want to say goodbye to these characters or this storyworld. It sucked me in and still hasn’t let go. I can’t say enough good things about it. I highly, highly recommend it!

Girl Lost, the first book in this series, was one of my favorite reads last year, so to say I was excited for this sequel is an understatement. Fatal Pattern was so good! I think I liked it even more than Girl Lost, which is saying something!

This starts off with an intense and compelling opener that had me hooked and holding my breath. The intrigue and suspense just kept climbing from there, making this a truly unputdownable read.

Tori and Blade were really likable characters. I loved the banter between the old friends. And I loved seeing how they were there for each other when they needed it.

The mysteries were intricate and layered, which kept me guessing. I was surprised on multiple occasions by the turn of events. I didn’t see it coming at all! I’m not much of a math person, but I thought the talk about fractals was fascinating!

I loved this book and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good twisty mysteries with a dash of romance. I’m very eager for the next book. With the way this one ended, it can’t come out soon enough.

MY THOUGHTS

What a great conclusion to this series! Full of twists and turns, there was never a dull moment. The suspense started early and hardly ever let up.

Asher and Daphne were great characters. Daphne was really good at her job. She had a serious, no-nonsense attitude, but I liked seeing her open up. I thought her and Asher made a great pair. Asher had been undercover with the Shadow Syndicate for a while. But you could tell he was a genuinely good guy. Hardworking and diligent. He was put into some tough spots, but I thought he handled things pretty well considering.

Things with the Shadow Syndicate come to a head in this book, and what a finale! I thought I had things figured out, but, man, was I surprised! There were some big shockers that I never saw coming. I really enjoyed this series and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys faith-filled romantic suspense.

I’ve really been looking forward to Asher’s story and, I’ve gotta say, Stricken did not disappoint. It’s my favorite of the series so far! It was raw and heartbreaking and incredibly compelling. I had a very hard time putting it down. I loved it so much!

I really liked Asher and Estelle. Asher had me very worried throughout the whole book, though. He was so close to going rogue and had essentially given up on everything and was putting himself in dangerous situations. My heart broke for him. Estelle was such a great counterbalance for him. Brave and loyal. A bright spot in the darkness.

I can’t say enough good things about this book or this series. If you’re a fan of closed-door paranormal romance, you’ll love it! With the way this book ended, the next book can’t come out soon enough! I can’t wait!

MY THOUGHTS

This was an incredibly fast paced collection of connected cyberpunk stories written by nine different authors. I really enjoyed my time reading it. I didn’t want it to end!

The worldbuilding was great! It was detailed and immersive but never overwhelming. I felt like I was right there in the story beside all the characters. I thought it was really impressive how well the stories flowed together and connected. It was really cool!

I was familiar with and have read several of these authors' books, but there were a few new-to-me authors too. I’m excited to read more from them.

I highly recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys science fiction! I’m very eager to visit Eon City again.

MY THOUGHTS

I absolutely adored this whimsical historical romance! This story was a lot of fun but also dealt with serious topics with grace. I really appreciated the chronic pain, invisible illness, and anxiety rep. They were described with such care and knowledge.

I was very intrigued by the comparison to Inspector Gadget and Little Women. It totally fit! Inspector Gadget was one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid, so I loved all the gadgets! They were really neat!

I really liked both Margaret and Charlie. I thought they made a good pair. Charlie’s struggle with anxiety was very relatable. While I’m not usually a fan of “love at first sight," which is what happens when he first meets Margaret, I didn’t mind it all that much. I appreciated how honestly Margaret’s struggles were portrayed. I loved seeing her passion for her work. And I also loved seeing how loving and supportive her family was.

I loved the strong message of faith woven throughout the whole story. I highlighted so many passages! I can’t recommend this book highly enough! If you’re a fan of whimsical historical romances with a dash of mystery, don’t hesitate to grab a copy. You’ll love it!

This book looks like it's out of print now, but I checked it out with Kindle Unlimited a while ago and finally got around to reading it. It was a lot of fun! Ben's been getting into a lot of trouble lately, so instead of getting sent to juvenile detention, he's sent to his uncle's farm. It was definitely out of his comfort zone, to say the least, but it ended up being a very interesting trip.

It took me a few chapters to really get into the book, but that could've been because of the constant interruptions I experienced. But once I had a long stretch of uninterrupted reading time, I really got into it and ended up enjoying it.

Ben was not likable in the beginning. He was an entitled troublemaker with a chip on his shoulder, but I really liked seeing his character growth. By the end of the story, he had really changed and grown up quite a bit. I loved Sid, though. He was such an awesome character!

While this story was a lot of fun, things got pretty intense in the second half. Things took a turn in a way that I wasn't expecting. It was a definite page-turner! If you're a fan of middle-grade fantasy and can find a copy of this book, I definitely recommend it! I really enjoyed it!

Flaw and Order did not disappoint! I loved it so much! It was so great being back with Joey and the gang. This is my favorite Christy Barritt series, so I’m always excited to see what new is going on with these characters. And there’s a lot that happens in this book!

Jackson, Joey’s husband, has been deep undercover for longer than he was supposed to be, so Joey and her aunt Dizzy take it upon themselves to head off and find him. Joey and Dizzy are quite the pair! They’re hilarious and often found themselves in some dangerous situations. But they always meant well!

While this book had me laughing out loud in so many spots, it also had me emotional in others and on the edge of my seat throughout too. It was the perfect combination of funny, suspenseful, and emotional. It took turns I wasn’t expecting, and there was resolution to some things from previous books. There’s also some exciting things to look forward to!

This book left a big smile on my face. I absolutely adored it! If you’re a fan of fun cozy mysteries, don’t hesitate to pick up this series. You’ll love it!

Defender was another great addition to this series. In fact, it’s one of my favorites. It wasn’t quite as action-packed as some of the previous books, but it was no less compelling. I was completely invested and didn’t want to put it down.

I really liked Michael. He was helpful, chivalrous, and just an all-around good guy. It took a little while to warm up to Dani. She was impulsive, rushing into things without thinking about the consequences, even when she was told not to do it. But she did mean well, and by the end of the book, I ended up liking her. I enjoyed seeing her character growth. I thought Michael and Dani were really good together. They really balanced each other out.

There was even more progress made with the Shadow Syndicate. I’m really curious to see how things end up in the final book of the series! If you’re a fan of faith-filled romantic suspense, don’t hesitate to pick up this series. It’s so good!

I started reading this book immediately after finishing the first one. I can't get enough of these characters, the story, and the worlds. I enjoyed this story just as much as the first one.

It picks up right after the events of the previous book. I was hooked! I loved the cozy mystery vibes and enjoyed seeing Viv come into her own as she grappled with the new otherworldly aspects of her life. Luca is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters I've read about in recent memory. Yes, he's unhinged, but I can't get enough of him.

I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys twisty urban fantasy. Be sure to start at the beginning because this does not stand alone. I can't wait to start book three!

What a fantastic conclusion to this series! I loved it so much! This story was very fast-paced and had me completely invested from beginning to end.

I was surprised by just how much I ended up liking Hades. He was completely different than I expected, which I loved! I felt for Persephone right off the bat. She was grieving her son and would do anything to get him back, even take on the god of the Underworld. I was so curious to see how that would turn out!

This was my favorite of the series. I’m sad it’s over, but what a wonderful trilogy! I can’t say enough good things about it and highly recommend it!

I absolutely loved this book! It's another delightfully weird and wonderful read from author W.R. Gingell. It was so great being back in the world of Between and Behind with new characters and a new setting.

In the beginning of the story, Viv was clueless about the paranormal aspects of the world around her, so it was really interesting seeing her discover it. Jasper and Luca were very interesting and mysterious characters for very different reasons. I was eager to learn more about them.

This was exactly the kind of book I needed at the time. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys twisty urban fantasy. It might be helpful to have read some of Gingell's other Between and Behind books, but it does stand alone. There's no language or spice, but there is quite a bit of violence. It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I'm diving right into the next book!

I really enjoyed this second-chance romance. Full of suspense, depth, and a great message of faith, I had a hard time putting it down.

I really liked Mia and Jackson. They had a past. A not so great one. There was a lot of history and hurt between them. Things ended badly, to put it mildly. There was a lot for them to work through, but I was rooting for them the whole time.

There were quite a bit of revelations and progress made with the Shadow Syndicate. I’m very curious where things will go next.

This ended up being a beautiful story of redemption and reconciliation. I really enjoyed my time reading it. I thought it handled some of the more serious topics with grace. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense with a strong inspirational thread. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

MY THOUGHTS

It’s not often that I want to go back and immediately reread a book right after I’ve finished it, but that’s exactly what happened with Worlds Collide. What an intricate, compelling, and just downright fantastic start to this sci-fi series. I loved it so much!

The worldbuilding is stunning. So complex and detailed. It follows five different characters on five different worlds. I was afraid that with all the characters and information that I might feel overwhelmed and not be able to keep things straight, but that wasn’t the case at all. It was fascinating learning about everything. And I really enjoyed reading about each of the characters and their world. But I think my favorite was TOM. I won’t say much, but his story was so fascinating.

I can’t recommend this book highly enough. It’s one of the best books I’ve read, not just this year, but maybe ever. I can’t say enough good things about it. If you’re a fan of this genre, don’t hesitate to grab a copy. You won’t be disappointed.

I had a blast reading this fun and entertaining mystery. It had me laughing out loud in spots and putting my detective hat on in others.

Things got off to a bit of a rocky start between Daphne and Clark after a hilarious and slightly embarrassing first meeting. But I thought they made a great team after getting over that initial run in. I really liked them both. I loved Daphne’s aunt Hannah. She was quite the character. I also adored the dogs. It was great seeing Daphne warm up to them.

The mystery was good. I had my suspicions about who the guilty party was early on, but there were plenty of other suspects, which had me second-guessing things.

I was a little bummed that there wasn’t more Bigfoot, but it was an enjoyable read nonetheless. I really liked all the nods to Nancy Drew and Scooby Doo. I’m hoping there are many more books to come in this series. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.

This was a cute, fun, and quick read. I really enjoyed it. I liked that it featured the reverse grumpy-sunshine trope. It was a lot of fun.

I thought the baby dragons were absolutely adorable. They were my favorite part of the book.

Celia was a bit of a grump, but I admired her devotion to the dragons. And the more I got to know her, the more likable she became. Darian was sweet, helpful, and curious about the dragons. I enjoyed seeing the trust between them grow.

With the way this story ended, the next book can’t come out soon enough! I recommend it to anyone who enjoys sweet and cozy fantasy.

What a fun and suspenseful read! It had a good amount of humor and more suspense than I was expecting. There was also a sweet and swoony romance, a lot of depth, and a wonderful message of faith too. I absolutely adored this book!

I really liked both Everly and Beckett. She’s an author with two pen names. And the inspiration for her upcoming hockey romance is Blue Ox defenseman Beckett Benson. Beckett was super likable and endearing. He’s a reader who’s been sending secret fan mail to one of Everly’s pen names. Neither one knows the real identity of the other. Not yet, at least. The two have a past. A not-so-great one. But I loved seeing them reconnect and was rooting so hard for them.

I loved this book so much and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, lightly suspenseful read with a lot of heart and a strong message of faith. I can’t wait for book three.

This sequel was just as good as the first book. Maybe even better, which is saying something since it was one of my favorite reads last year. It starts right after the events of Wicked is the Hollow and follows the same characters.

This book was spooky, mysterious, and just downright awesome. There were so many twists and turns and surprises. My jaw was on the floor quite a few times. And I got goosebumps several times.

It was really interesting learning more of the town lore and about the rifts. And it was great spending more time with these characters. Although they did stress me out, lol!

I had a blast reading this book and am so eager for the next one! It ends on a cliffhanger, so book three can’t come out soon enough! This series is perfect for fans of Stranger Things. I can't recommend it highly enough!

This was a really fun and imaginative read. It grabbed my attention from the first page and held on until the very last word. I loved it!

Kristine had a big imagination and a lot of spunk. It was great seeing her face her fears head-on. I loved Iffy and his slightly wrong sayings. I thought his friendship with Kristine was really sweet. The goblins were interesting and mischievous characters. They were so fun to read about. I never knew what they’d do next.

This book had me laughing out loud and left me with a big smile on my face. It had a great message but was also very entertaining. The young and young at heart will love it! I highly recommend it!
