MY THOUGHTS

What a great conclusion to this series! Full of twists and turns, there was never a dull moment. The suspense started early and hardly ever let up.

Asher and Daphne were great characters. Daphne was really good at her job. She had a serious, no-nonsense attitude, but I liked seeing her open up. I thought her and Asher made a great pair. Asher had been undercover with the Shadow Syndicate for a while. But you could tell he was a genuinely good guy. Hardworking and diligent. He was put into some tough spots, but I thought he handled things pretty well considering.

Things with the Shadow Syndicate come to a head in this book, and what a finale! I thought I had things figured out, but, man, was I surprised! There were some big shockers that I never saw coming. I really enjoyed this series and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys faith-filled romantic suspense.

MY THOUGHTS

This book looks like it's out of print now, but I checked it out with Kindle Unlimited a while ago and finally got around to reading it. It was a lot of fun! Ben's been getting into a lot of trouble lately, so instead of getting sent to juvenile detention, he's sent to his uncle's farm. It was definitely out of his comfort zone, to say the least, but it ended up being a very interesting trip.

It took me a few chapters to really get into the book, but that could've been because of the constant interruptions I experienced. But once I had a long stretch of uninterrupted reading time, I really got into it and ended up enjoying it.

Ben was not likable in the beginning. He was an entitled troublemaker with a chip on his shoulder, but I really liked seeing his character growth. By the end of the story, he had really changed and grown up quite a bit. I loved Sid, though. He was such an awesome character!

While this story was a lot of fun, things got pretty intense in the second half. Things took a turn in a way that I wasn't expecting. It was a definite page-turner! If you're a fan of middle-grade fantasy and can find a copy of this book, I definitely recommend it! I really enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this second-chance romance. Full of suspense, depth, and a great message of faith, I had a hard time putting it down.

I really liked Mia and Jackson. They had a past. A not so great one. There was a lot of history and hurt between them. Things ended badly, to put it mildly. There was a lot for them to work through, but I was rooting for them the whole time.

There were quite a bit of revelations and progress made with the Shadow Syndicate. I’m very curious where things will go next.

This ended up being a beautiful story of redemption and reconciliation. I really enjoyed my time reading it. I thought it handled some of the more serious topics with grace. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense with a strong inspirational thread. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

MY THOUGHTS

I had a blast reading this fun and entertaining mystery. It had me laughing out loud in spots and putting my detective hat on in others.

Things got off to a bit of a rocky start between Daphne and Clark after a hilarious and slightly embarrassing first meeting. But I thought they made a great team after getting over that initial run in. I really liked them both. I loved Daphne’s aunt Hannah. She was quite the character. I also adored the dogs. It was great seeing Daphne warm up to them.

The mystery was good. I had my suspicions about who the guilty party was early on, but there were plenty of other suspects, which had me second-guessing things.

I was a little bummed that there wasn’t more Bigfoot, but it was an enjoyable read nonetheless. I really liked all the nods to Nancy Drew and Scooby Doo. I’m hoping there are many more books to come in this series. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoyed this grumpy/sunshine romantic suspense! It didn’t take long before the suspense kicked in and I was hooked! It became an impossible to put down thrill ride.

I really liked Aubrey and Ethan. She works for the US Marshals as an administrative assistant. She’s a stress baker with a sunshiny attitude. I was really worried for her when the killer she put in jail years ago came after her. Ethan’s a Deputy Marshal with a strong protective instinct and a secret sweet tooth. He was a bit of a grump, but the more I got to know him, the more I liked him.

This was the first book I’ve read by this author, but it won’t be my last. I look forward to reading more from her. I recommend reading this multi-author series in order because there’s an overarching mystery surrounding the Shadow Syndicate. If you’re a fan of romantic suspense with a strong thread of faith, you’ll love it!

“Of all the unpleasant, unwanted surprises in Vicky Siden’s life, few topped the sight of the man standing in front of her.”

This was a really sweet and heartwarming story of grief, hope, and forgiveness.

There was a lot of history and hurt between Vicky and Nick. He was her husband’s best friend, and she blames him for his death. When he brings a neglected donkey and horse to the Three Sisters Rescue Farm for some rehabilitation, they have a chance to hash things out. I was really rooting for them to work things out.

Vicky’s son Taylor was adorable. And I loved Dunk the donkey and Buddy the horse. I liked seeing Taylor’s sweet relationship with the animals.

I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet and inspiring contemporary romance. Even though it’s part of a series, it stands alone perfectly fine.

Y’all! This was an absolute blast to read! I knew I was going to love it just from the opening line, and it only got better from there. I was laughing out loud in several spots and then holding my breath in suspense in others. I thought there was a really good balance of action, suspense, and comedy.

I really liked Ben and Cybil. There was quite a bit of history between them, and I was rooting for them so hard. They had amazing chemistry. The banter between them was hilarious! Also, I can’t forget to mention Ben’s grandma. She was a hoot! I’d love a spin-off series featuring her and all of her antics.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to whatever Natalie Walters writes next. I highly recommend it!

This book was so much fun! I was a big fan of Brown’s debut novel, What Comes of Attending the Commoners Ball, so this was one of my most anticipated reads this year. It was an absolute blast to read! It’s a King Thrushbeard retelling. I’m not super familiar with that fairy tale, but that didn’t hinder my enjoyment one bit. I loved it!

Neither main character was very likable in the beginning, which is usually a big turnoff for me, but it somehow worked really well here. They were awful in the most humorous and entertaining way. Plus, it was great seeing their character growth.

I thought it was really interesting how Agatha got a fairy gift on her birthday up to her 21st. And that 21st Gift was a doozy, lol! It caused all kinds of chaos! I thought Agatha’s fairy godmother was a hoot!

This was a really fun read. It had a lot of depth alongside the humor, too, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys no-spice fantasy.

I started reading this book immediately after finishing the first one. And, I've gotta say, this sequel was just as entertaining and compelling! I was completely captivated by it!

I enjoyed seeing Quin’s character growth, and I loved seeing him embrace the truth of who he was. I also enjoyed seeing the friendship between him and Allie grow. They’re a great duo! I really enjoyed getting Davinia’s POV. She was wrestling with some things, and I was very curious to see how that would turn out.

This story ends on an even bigger cliffhanger than the first one, so I’m very anxious for the next book. It can’t come out soon enough!

I really enjoyed this middle grade fantasy. It was unique, entertaining, and held my full attention. It had a bit of a dystopian feel to it, too, which I thought was done really well.

I really felt for Quin in the beginning. He felt like he was a letdown and a failure to his prestigious family. He didn’t have the ability to “Call” items like the rest of his family did. But I loved watching him grow and discover the truth about himself.

This was a fast-paced and quick read that I really enjoyed. It ended on a cliffhanger, though, so I’m very anxious to start the sequel! I’m curious to see what happens next!

Action-packed right from the start, I could hardly put down this intense second installment of the Heroes of Renegade series. It starts off in Syria and then moves forward five years to the present day in Renegade, Colorado.

Saxon was an easy guy to like. He’s amiable, hardworking, and just an all-around good guy. It took a little longer for me to figure Kira out, but once I got to know her a little better and heard about her past, I ended up really liking her too.

I’m really looking forward to the next book! And highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys faith-filled romantic suspense. While this could technically be read as a standalone, I’d still recommend starting with Renegade first. There’s an overarching story thread that will run through the series. Plus, it’s fun to catch up with characters from the previous book!

MY THOUGHTS

I always love a good fairytale retelling and I really enjoyed this one. This story reimagines Rumpelstiltskin and Catskin. I’m not familiar with Catskin, but Rumpelstiltskin is a favorite. I enjoyed seeing the nods to it.

I instantly felt for Seren. She was put in a new and stressful position. I thought she handled herself well, and I admired her strength and courage in the face of such daunting situations. I loved seeing her character growth throughout the story.

I was intrigued by Corin. There was a mysterious air about him, and I couldn’t figure out what to think of him at first. But I enjoyed getting to know him better.

There were some parts of the book that were unsettling and dark, but I thought it showed that Light will always overcome the darkness.

I became completely immersed in this story world. There were a few massive twists that I never saw coming. I was shocked! I look forward to reading more from Angie Dickinson. She’s quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

MY THOUGHTS

This was a really sweet, quick read. It’s a mashup of Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast. I love those fairytales, so I was very intrigued to see them intertwined. I thought it was really well done! I really enjoyed it.

Abigail was cheerful and likable, the perfect foil to grumpy Roan. Roan wasn’t the most likable of characters, but his growth from the beginning of the story to the end was great to see. And I absolutely adored his dog Beastie.

While this book is set in Galamere, the world where the author’s other books are set, it can stand alone perfectly fine. I did enjoy seeing the cameos from characters from her previous books, but don’t worry if you haven’t read those stories yet. I highly recommend this book to fans of closed-door fairytale retellings. I can’t wait to see what this author writes next!

MY THOUGHTS

This was a really sweet story and a great conclusion to this series. I don’t read many marriage of convenience stories, nor many westerns, but that needs to change! I really enjoyed this!

I really felt for Belle. She’d been through a lot. There was a lot of trauma in her past, to say the least. But I loved seeing her growth, and I loved seeing her learn to trust. I liked Coop a lot. I loved how protective and kind he was to Belle.

This was an exciting read. There were high stakes and danger and a swoony romance, to boot. Even though this is the conclusion to the series, it can still stand alone. Although it would be helpful to start at the beginning to understand the characters and their circumstances a little better. If you’re a fan of faith-filled historical romances, check it out. I think you’ll really enjoy it!

It’s been way too long since I’ve read a Heather Webber book. I don’t read many books in this genre, but I definitely need to change that! I loved this story so much!

This book pulled me right in and transported me to the charming town of Forget-Me-Not. The characters felt so real and authentic!

Reading this book felt like coming home. There was a weird yet strong sense of nostalgia. Something about it took me back to simpler times. I loved that.

This is not a fast-paced read, but I couldn’t wait to get back to it when I’d have to set it aside. I was completely enchanted by it. I'm excited to go back and read the books by this author that I missed.

When a prison transport van is involved in an accident, dangerous criminals escape, and it's a race against time to catch them. This was a wonderful collection of suspenseful and heart-pounding Christmas stories. Each story focuses on catching one of the fugitives.

Rescued Justice by Lisa Phillips
This was an action-packed read focused on Olivia and Izan as they hunt down a merciless cartel member who has a connection to Izan. I thought the budding romance between Olivia and Izan was really sweet.

Rescued Trust by Michelle Aleckson
Officer Anthony Thomas is on protection duty, trying to keep Firefighter Della Nixon safe from the escaped serial killer she put behind bars. The danger was palpable in this suspenseful tale. Things just kept ramping up and had me glued to the page. I liked grinchy Anthony and enjoyed seeing the developing romance between him and Della.

Rescued Hope by Laura Conaway
EMT Kianna Russell lost someone she cared about to one of the escapees, so, when he escapes custody, she teams up with K-9 Officer Cole Stuart and his K-9 partner, Titan, to catch the guy before he hurts anyone else. This was a great concluding story. It was my favorite of the bunch. My favorite thing was seeing the strong faith of these characters.

This collection can be enjoyed by old fans of the series and new alike. I highly recommend it to fans of faith-filled romantic suspense!

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoyed Rescued Dreams! The action started off pretty quickly, and the suspense steadily built until the thrilling conclusion.

Ridge was easy to like. It took a little bit to warm up to Amelia, but I ended up really liking her too. She had a difficult past and was still working through it the best she could, but she came off as kind of brusque sometimes. I enjoyed seeing her growth and her journey to trusting God.

Even though this is book 8 in the Last Chance Fire and Rescue series, it stands alone perfectly fine. It was my first time reading a book in this series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you’re a fan of high-stakes, faith-filled romantic suspense, you’ll enjoy it too! I highly recommend it.

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoyed this gritty Christian romance. While it’s clean, it doesn’t sugarcoat things. It’s real and raw. Emotional and full of heart.It had a bit of a slow start, but things picked up quickly, and I was hooked.

Cali was a great character. Easy to like and root for. Holt was a complicated guy. He reminded me a bit of Sawyer from Lost. He was a con man. Handsome, charismatic, and dangerous. He was not a Christian when we first met him, but his journey to Christ was a powerful one. Watching him come to the Lord was my favorite part of this story. It was truly inspiring.

I loved this town and all the fall vibes. I loved the friend group and am so excited to read their stories in the future. If you enjoy gritty Christian romance, grab a copy of this book. You’ll love it!

This was a really cute and cozy Cinderella retelling. Cinderella has always been my favorite fairytale, so I loved seeing all the nods to it. I wished there had been a few more, but I still enjoyed it very much.

I love this group of friends. They might not always agree on everything, but they’re so supportive of one another.

I really liked Dietrich. It took me a little while to warm up to Ella, but I ended up liking her too.

I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll be vague, but I really appreciated the fact that something wasn’t drawn out. It was revealed and addressed quickly.

If you’re a fan of sweet fairytale retellings, I think you’ll really enjoy this story. While it’s a part of a series, it can stand alone. Though there are some backstories to some of the supporting characters that you might miss out on.

MY THOUGHTS

This was an absolute joy to read! It made me laugh. It made me cry. And it made me feel every emotion in between.

I enjoyed the fact that the story featured an older couple. Betty and Daniel were so endearing and likeable. I was really rooting for them to find each other again.

I thought all of the characters were so real and authentic. It felt like I already knew them, like they were old friends or family members.

I also enjoyed seeing the sisterly bond between Betty and Linda. They could drive each other crazy, but you could tell how much they loved one another.

If you're looking for a heartfelt and sweet story that tugs at your emotions, pick up a copy of this book. I enjoyed it so much.
