MY THOUGHTS
This starts right where the last one left off, and because it had been a little while since I’d read that one, it took me a couple of chapters to get my bearings. But once I did? Oh my goodness, I was completely invested and fully absorbed in Wonderland.
The worldbuilding was excellent. I thought all the nods to the original story were really clever, but never overdone. The story was unique in its own right, and I loved how inspired it felt.
I’ve always said that Beauty and the Beast retellings are my favorites, but this series has me rethinking that. I need more Alice in Wonderland retellings in my life!
This was a super fun read that also had a great message that felt very allegorical. The ending was absolutely brilliant. It was so fitting! So moving!
