MY THOUGHTS
I really liked Roman and Lark. He’s leading a rebellion against Julian, Lark’s father. And it just so happens that her father has sent her to kill Roman. Talk about twisty! I was so curious to see how that would play out!
I really felt for Lark and the way her father treated her and for what he was coercing her to do. But I loved seeing her blossom away from his influence.
This book was full of suspense and mounting danger. I was completely engrossed and didn’t want to set it down. There were many times when I wondered how everything was going to work out in the end. Things seemed pretty dire in spots! If you’re a fan of urban fantasy, don’t hesitate to start this series. It’s fantastic! I can’t wait for the next book!
