My Review
Four Stars
Someone's setting Laney Ryan up for a crime she didn't commit. Despite the evidence, Detective Mark James is not convinced of Laney's guilt. Can they find the real culprit before things turn deadly?
Laney's a bit of a loner who has trust issues, but she's the type of person who wants to help others. She was super easy to relate to. And Mark's a super likable, good guy.
Christy Barritt is one of the masters of romantic suspense. Every one of her books has hooked me from the very first page and never lets go. Shadow of Suspicion is no different. It was a fantastic and heart-stopping thrill ride that I did not want to put down. There was never a good place to stop. The ending wrapped up kinda quickly, but all in all, it was a great suspense that I highly recommend!

“Her peers had thought she was strange in high school because she'd been so quiet, but she'd always thought that she was being the person God created her to be. She'd rather be different than compromise her authenticity.”
