Book Beginnings: Just a Kiss (A Summer Harbor Novel) by Denise Hunter

Book Beginnings is a weekly meme hosted by Rose City Reader that asks you to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you're reading, along with your initial thoughts/impressions.

This week I'm featuring Just a Kiss by Denise Hunter

Paige Warren checked her watch, then peeked around Miss Trudy's silver head for the dozenth time.  Riley's plane had landed, and the steady stream of passengers moving toward Bangor Airport's baggage claim had begun to dwindle.

My thoughts:

Where's Riley?  What's going on?  I've been looking forward to Riley's story since first meeting him in Falling Like Snowflakes, so I'm super interested to know what's going on with him.

What's the first line (or so) of the book you're currently reading?  Leave a comment and let me know.

  1. I'm reading Moonbow Night by Laura Frantz and it's SO good! It starts out.......What cannot be cured must be endured. There was no cure for the whirling April snow, the cold seeping through thin, trail-worn moccasins from the frozen forest floor.

    1. Laura Frantz is a master at creating vivid descriptions that transport the reader straight into her story.
