This week I'm featuring Misdirection (Pros and Cons Mysteries #1) by Christy Barritt.
One high-risk assignment. Two dangerous secrets.
As a teen, Olive Sterling's entire family was murdered, leaving her alone and desperate for answers. She’s learned to compartmentalize her loss and trust no one. Now she lives in the shadows, working as an undercover investigator for an elite private security firm.
Her latest assignment seems straightforward: Identify a corporate mole who plans to sell dangerous classified technology to foreign operatives. When Olive runs into Jason Stewart—the only man she's ever loved—at her target company, her carefully constructed walls begin to crumble.
With thousands of lives on the line, Olive can’t afford to make a mistake. But as bodies start dropping and suspicions rise, Olive must decide: Can she trust Jason with the truth? Or will exposing the painful secrets from her past prove to be a deadly mistake?
The first book in the pulse-pounding Pros and Cons series, MISDIRECTION is a high-stakes thriller about betrayal, redemption, and the fine line between truth and deception.

What have you been reading lately?
Whew. I'm not sure if I could go on if my whole family was murdered!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would be able to either!
DeleteHope you have a great week! :)
Huh! That sounds pretty good. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by, Lauren! Have a great week! :)
DeleteShe's started yet another series? Does she ever take a day off?! ;D
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem like it! I have no idea how she writes so fast. Or how she keeps coming up with new ideas.
DeleteHope you have a wonderful week, Lark! :D
This book sounds so sad and dramatic. Wow.
ReplyDeleteIt's not as sad as the synonpsis makes it seem. It has some lighter moments. It is tragic what happened to her family though. I can't even imagine. Hope you have a great week, Anne! :)
DeleteWhat a hard life she's had. I bet she's good at her job. This sounds intense.
ReplyDeleteIt had a good balance of intense and lighter moments. It was so sad what happened to her family. Hopefully we'll get some answers about that in future books.
DeleteHope you have a wonderful week! :)
I will never catch up on her books, LOL! I have two of hers from the library that I hope to get to soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy those books! I try to read at least one of her books a month and I'm still hopelessly behind, lol. I don't know how she writes so quick!
DeleteGreat lines. Sounds like a good read.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great start to a new series. :D
