MY THOUGHTS
Bobbie Sue is a great character. She's determined to find the truth and has really good instincts when it comes to solving a mystery. Her grandma was a hoot. She had to be one of my favorite parts of this story. She's brutally honest and a master at guilt-tripping. She made me laugh nearly every time she appeared on the page.
The mystery kept me guessing right up to the reveal. I liked the fact that it tied into an old mystery too. It added another interesting element to the story.
I love that this series is set in the 80s. There are so many fun references! If you're a fan of cozy mysteries, this series is a must read! This book does stand alone, but I'd still recommend reading Close Encounters of the Murderous Kind first because it's such a fantastic book.
