MY THOUGHTS

I've been meaning to get back to this series for a while now, and I'm so happy I finally did. I was dealing with a massive book hangover beforehand. I had started a couple of other books, but couldn't get into them. Nothing really sounded good, so I just decided to start this one since I enjoyed the first one so much, and hope for the best. It was so good! It grabbed me from the very first line and didn't let go until the very end. It was fast-paced and engaging the whole way through, but things really ramped up at around the 70% mark and I couldn't put it down. I had to finish it right then and there.

I enjoyed seeing Jane and Reid working together. They've still got a ways to go on repairing their fractured relationship, but at least they're trying. They've been through so much, and have such a complicated history, but I'm rooting for them.

This book builds on the first one, so I'd recommend reading these in order. There's a lot of backstory that'd be missed out on if you start here.
